Biodiversity Gain Plans
Plan showing how Biodiversity Net Gain will be delivered
A Biodiversity Gain Plan (BGP) is a statutory document required to demonstrate how a development will deliver its Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) commitments. Submitted following the grant of planning permission, the plan sets out how biodiversity gains will be achieved, monitored and maintained over the long term.
At Stour Ecology Ltd, we prepare Biodiversity Gain Plans that satisfy legislative requirements while providing practical and deliverable solutions tailored to each development.
What is the difference between a BNG Assessment and a Biodiversity Gain Plan?
A BNG Assessment calculates the biodiversity value of a site and identifies how a development can achieve the required biodiversity gain. A Biodiversity Gain Plan is the formal document submitted to demonstrate how those gains will be delivered, managed and monitored in accordance with the approved scheme.
